The Basilica of Saint Mary in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is the first basilica established in the United States, completed between 1907 and 1915.
Designed by French architect Emmanuel Louis Masqueray, it is celebrated as one of the finest examples of Beaux-Arts architecture in the country, blending Renaissance and Baroque influences into a grand, serene structure that reflects democratic ideals.
