Dr. Evermor's Sculpture Park, located on Highway 12 in the town of Sumpter, Wisconsin, is home to the world's largest scrap metal sculpture called the Forevertron.
Created in the 1980s by artist Tom Every, who adopted the persona Dr. Evermor, the park features an imaginative collection of massive sculptures made from salvaged industrial relics, including parts from old factories, power plants, and even NASA's Apollo program.
The centerpiece, Forevertron, stands 50 feet high, 120 feet wide, and weighs about 300 tons, resembling a cosmic Victorian machine meant to transport a person to a higher plane using lightning. Surrounding sculptures include huge metal birds, fantastical vehicles, and inventive mechanical animals, all crafted from industrial scrap with historic and artistic value.
The park is set on the site of a former World War II army housing area and offers visitors a whimsical, surreal outdoor art experience reflecting the artist's unique vision and love of industrial history.
