Grand River Cellars Winery & Restaurant in Madison, Ohio, in the Grand River Valley wine region, traces its roots to 1976 as the Grand River Wine Company focused on vinifera grape cultivation and production, opening to the public in 1978 before owners Bill and Carol Worthy sold it in 1998 and Madison Wine Cellars revived it in 2005 as the current operation.
Nestled off the main road amid woods for shaded tranquility, the rustic venue welcomes guests with a fireplace, hand-painted murals, large bar, and year-round menu of appetizers, grilled sandwiches, steaks, ribs, and seasonal entrees paired with award-winning local wines like Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Grigio, and ice wine.
Features include a new Wine Cave for intimate events up to 20, summer patio entertainment, private party spaces, craft beers, cocktails, and a gift shop, drawing visitors for its warm atmosphere just east of Cleveland.
