Casino
Hopland Sho-Ka-Wah Casino was a small tribal gaming facility in Hopland, California, owned by the Hopland Band of Pomo Indians on the Hopland Rancheria in Mendocino County wine country.
Opened in August 1998, it offered around 40,000 square feet with over 500 slot machines, 8 table games like blackjack, a bingo hall, restaurant, deli, and bar, attracting locals and visitors north of Santa Rosa. The casino permanently closed in August 2018 due to devastating California wildfires, including the Mendocino Complex fire, with no reopening as of 2026, and staff received layoffs while the site remains shuttered.
