Mallow Run Winery is a family-owned winery located just south of Indianapolis, Indiana, on a historic farm settled by George Mallow in 1835.
The winery began when John Richardson, who grew up on the farm and retired from teaching, started planting grapes in 2000 to supply local wineries, later expanding into producing their own wines with his son Bill and Bill’s wife Laura. The winery features nearly seven acres of grapevines growing cold-hardy American and hybrid varieties suited for Indiana's climate.
It operates out of a beautifully restored 19th-century timber-framed barn that serves as the tasting room, offering a rustic and welcoming setting for visitors. Mallow Run produces award-winning wines and is known for hosting numerous events, including live music and celebrations, often held on their farm and at their separate event venue called The Sycamore.
The winery maintains a warm, community-oriented atmosphere and combines traditional farming with a passion for fine wine-making, celebrating over 20 years of operation as of 2025. They also support local partnerships and sustainable practices in their wine production.
