Melaleuca Field is a baseball stadium located in Idaho Falls, Idaho, serving as the home field for the Idaho Falls Chukars, an independent Minor League Baseball team in the Pioneer League.
The site has a long history, originally opening in 1940 as Highland Park before being renamed McDermott Field in 1977 after E. F. McDermott, a prominent local newspaper publisher. After McDermott Field became outdated, it was demolished in 2006 to make way for Melaleuca Field, which opened in 2007 following a major renovation funded largely by local community efforts and a significant donation from Frank VanderSloot, CEO of Melaleuca, a health products company.
The stadium boasts a seating capacity of 3,400, including 1,200 box seats, 1,459 bench seats with backs, and eight luxury suites. It features amenities such as concession booths, a souvenir shop, a press box, and even a sponsored hot tub along the right field line, creating a family-friendly atmosphere.
The field surface is natural Kentucky bluegrass, and the concourse offers picnic and party areas, making Melaleuca Field both a historic and modern venue for baseball and community events in eastern Idaho.
