Casino/Hotel
Clarion Hotel and Casino was a modest off-Strip resort in Winchester, Nevada, near the Las Vegas Convention Center, featuring around 200 rooms and a small 6,600-square-foot casino with slots and table games.
Opened in 1970 as the Royal Inn, it underwent multiple rebrandings including Royal Americana (1980), Paddlewheel (1983), Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Hotel (1993), Convention Center Drive Hotel (2000), Greek Isles (2001), and finally Clarion in 2010, hosting entertainers like magician Jan Rouven.
The property closed on September 1, 2014, and its 12-story tower was imploded on February 10, 2015, for potential redevelopment into the Majestic Las Vegas high-rise, though plans remain delayed as of 2026.
