Winery
Sokol Blosser Winery, a pioneering family-owned operation in Oregon's Dundee Hills AVA northeast of Dayton in the Willamette Valley, was founded in 1971 by Susan Sokol Blosser and Bill Blosser who planted their first five acres of Pinot Noir on a former prune orchard, producing the region's first vintage in 1977 and opening Oregon's inaugural tasting room in 1978 designed by architect John Storrs.
Now led by second-generation siblings Alex and Alison Sokol Blosser across 128 acres of estate vineyards including the historic Old Vineyard block with Wadenswil, Pommard, and Pinot Droit clones transitioning to organic farming, the winery crafts acclaimed Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling, and proprietary Evolution blends while pioneering sustainability as the first U.S. winery with a LEED-certified barrel cellar in 2002, Salmon-Safe in 1996, B Corp in 2015, and solar power.
The modern tasting room by Allied Works Architecture offers seated flights, farm-to-table pairings, and events amid hillside views, embodying 50+ years of terroir-driven excellence and environmental stewardship drawing wine lovers to this bike-friendly Dundee Hills gem.
