Von Thun's Country Farm Market is a fifth-generation family farm in New Jersey with locations in South Brunswick at 505 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction, and Washington at 438 Route 57 West, dating back to 1913 when Henry Von Thun bought 90 acres for growing potatoes and grains, now expanded into popular pick-your-own spots for strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, peaches, apples, and pumpkins plus Jersey Fresh produce markets.
The markets offer over 40 varieties of fruits and vegetables like sweet corn and tomatoes, alongside greenhouses for flowers, a CSA program with full, half, or personal shares running 20 weeks from late May, and seasonal fun including corn mazes, hayrides, festivals, school tours, and sunflower fields at the Washington site.
Open weekdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekends 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Tuesday-Sunday at Washington), it's about an hour from New York City, pet-friendly in some areas, and praised for fresh goods, donuts, cider, and family activities drawing locals for agritourism.
