The Capitol was dedicated on June 20, 1932, coinciding with West Virginia's state birthday, and cost just under $10 million.
It holds over 530,000 square feet and 333 rooms, serving as a symbol of the state's pride and democratic governance while being listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
