This peaceful retreat showcases second-growth forests resembling pre-settlement Ohio woodlands with spring wildflowers, abundant wildlife like deer and turkey, plus year-round camping including equestrian sites with horse wash, over 24 miles of bridle trails, an 8-mile multi-use trail for hiking and biking, boating, fishing, a 700-foot beach, mini golf, basketball, volleyball, playgrounds, archery range, and a Storybook Trail.
Managed by Ohio DNR since land acquisition began in 1955, it offers no entrance fee and welcomes visitors dawn to dusk for quiet outdoor escapes amid rolling hills and serene waters.
