Named for signer of the Declaration of Independence Dr. Benjamin Rush, it offers open meadows, Pennsylvania woodlands along Poquessing Creek, one of the world's largest community gardens, multi-use trails for hiking and biking, and a dedicated flying field for radio-controlled model airplanes.
Open daily from 8 a.m. to sunset for passive day-use recreation like birdwatching, picnicking, and nature study, it provides an urban escape with remnants of historical sites amid diverse flora and fauna.
