Bledsoe Creek State Park spans 169 acres in Sumner County near Gallatin, Tennessee, along the Bledsoe Creek embayment of Old Hickory Lake, an impoundment of the Cumberland River created by Old Hickory Dam in 1954.
Developed as a recreational area by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and designated a state park in 1973, it features low hills, forested terrain, and wildlife like whitetail deer, wild turkey, beavers, bobcats, foxes, muskrats, and wintering bald eagles.
Visitors enjoy 68 campsites with water and electric hookups plus three primitive hammock sites, over four miles of scenic hiking trails including a one-mile paved accessible path, two boat ramps, picnic shelters, an outdoor classroom, a pollinator garden, and fishing on the lake.
