Centered on the 250-acre Gouldsboro Lake—expanded in 1895 by a dam built for ice harvesting and opened as a state park in 1958—it prohibits gas-powered boats while welcoming electric or non-powered craft, swimming, fishing for trout and warmwater species, and ice fishing in winter.
