High Cliff State Park covers 1,187 acres near Sherwood in eastern Wisconsin, the only state-owned recreation area on Lake Winnebago, with dramatic limestone cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment rising above the water. It features 16 miles of trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding, skiing, and snowshoeing, including the accessible Indian Mound Trail and a 40-foot observation tower for lake views, plus effigy mounds, a historic lime kiln and quarry, a 12-foot Chief Red Bird statue, swimming beach, marina, 112 campsites with electric options, picnic areas, and abundant birdlife.
