Centered on the 137-acre Hills Creek Lake stocked with warmwater fish, it attracts osprey, loons, waterfowl, and abundant wildlife, offering year-round recreation including boating with electric motors only, fishing, swimming at a beach, and ice fishing. Families enjoy 85 campsites in hemlock-shaded or open areas from mid-April to mid-October, modern cabins and yurts year-round, picnicking, hiking trails with valley views near the PA Grand Canyon, and winter cross-country skiing.
