Park
Long Hunter State Park spans about 2,600 acres along the eastern shores of Percy Priest Lake in Hermitage, Tennessee, near Nashville, divided into three main sections—Baker's Grove, Couchville, and Bryant Grove—plus the separate Sellars Farm archaeological site.
Named for the 18th-century Long Hunters who explored the region, it offers over 20 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails through forests and bluffs, backcountry camping, fishing, boating with two launch ramps, swimming beaches, and paddling on Couchville Lake.
Popular for birdwatching, picnicking, and its proximity to the city, the park also preserves Native American history at Sellars Farm with Mississippian-era mounds and Tennessee's state artifact, a stone statue.
