Park
Navarro River Redwoods State Park is an 11‑mile ribbon of second‑growth redwood forest along the Navarro River on the Mendocino coast, where a dense “redwood tunnel” of towering trees opens out to Navarro Beach at the river mouth.
The park (about 660 acres) offers riverside and beach camping, day‑use areas, picnicking, fishing, kayaking and swimming in calmer seasons, plus hiking through lush riparian groves and opportunities to see wildlife such as river birds and seals near the coast.
Access follows Highway 128 through Anderson Valley, weather is variable (hot inland summers, cool coastal breezes), some campgrounds or facilities may be seasonally closed, and visitors should check current park notices, campground status and safety information before traveling.
