Silver Dollar City is a 61-acre 1880s-themed amusement park located near Branson, Missouri, on the Indian Point peninsula of Table Rock Lake.
The park opened on May 1, 1960, and was built around Marvel Cave, a historic cave discovered by Osage Indians in the 1500s and later explored by miners seeking lead and marble. The park was created by the Herschend family with a focus on preserving the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the Ozarks.
It features over 40 rides and attractions, 12 stage venues, 18 restaurants, and a large number of shops and craft demonstrations that celebrate traditional arts.
