Silverwood Theme Park in northern Idaho, near Coeur d’Alene, opened in 1988 and has grown into the largest theme and water park in the Pacific Northwest, covering 413 acres.
It offers over 70 rides, slides, shows, and attractions including four major roller coasters, a historic steam train, and Boulder Beach Water Park with wave pools, lazy rivers, tubing slides, and kids’ play areas. The park began as a small carnival with an aviation museum and a narrow-gauge railway and later expanded with new rides and themed areas.
Since 2009, Silverwood has hosted Scarywood Haunted Nights in October with haunted attractions and scare zones. The park is family-friendly with entertainment, dining options, and events, making it a popular destination for outdoor fun and thrills.
