Beach
Stonefield Beach is a secluded, uncrowded stretch of Oregon coastline in Lane County, USA, at the mouth of Tenmile Creek, about 7 miles south of Yachats and 18 miles north of Florence along U.S. Highway 101 near milepost 171.
Divided into northern and southern sections by the creek, it features a narrow, rugged rocky shore with cobbles, pebbles, basalt ledges, tide pools, and dunes on the southern sandy flat, ideal for agate hunting (carnelian, sagenitic, jasper, petrified wood), beachcombing, whale watching during migrations (December-January southbound, March-May northbound), and sunset viewing.
Access via small gravel lots north and south of the bridge leads through sandy trails or a bush tunnel, with no restrooms, cell service, or fees, though winter storms may close southern parking temporarily while keeping the beach open.
