The railroad line was purchased in 1988 by David Durbano, who revived passenger excursions in 1990 to showcase the region's natural beauty and rich mining history.
The vintage diesel locomotives, originally built for Alaska, pull classic passenger cars in a nostalgic setting. The railroad passes through Prescott and Coconino National Forests and offers stunning views of wildlife, geology, and historic mining landscapes.
