Park
Ainsworth State Park is a scenic campground nestled in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area in eastern Multnomah County, Oregon, USA, located about 17 miles east of Troutdale near Dodson along the Historic Columbia River Highway and accessible via I-84 Exit 35.
Named for Oregon businessman John C. Ainsworth who donated the land in 1933, it offers 45 full-hookup RV sites, primitive tent camping, restrooms, showers, firewood, and a creek running through its forested grounds, open seasonally from mid-March to late October.
Positioned at the eastern end of the "Waterfall Corridor," it's a hiker's paradise with trail access to nearby Multnomah Falls, Horsetail Falls, and Nesmith Point for views of St. Peter's Dome, plus biking, sightseeing, and proximity to Portland and Hood River.
