Park
Arizona Beach State Recreation Site is a 68-acre day-use park in Curry County on Oregon's southern coast, USA, about 13 miles south of Port Orford along U.S. Highway 101, featuring a sheltered two-thirds-mile sandy beach flanked by rocky headlands that block winds for unusually warm conditions.
Acquired by the state in 2008 for $3 million from private owners, it replaced an old campground with paved parking, picnic tables, restrooms, and easy trails to the ocean for beachcombing, wildlife viewing of elk, waterfowl, seals, and tidepool creatures, plus creek-fed wetlands from Mussel and Myrtle creeks.
Open year-round, the site draws visitors for its serene, uncrowded vibe, agate hunting, surfing, and scenic bluffs near Prehistoric Gardens, with no camping but ample space for relaxation amid coastal forests and dramatic Pacific vistas.
