Park
Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park is a 19-acre urban park in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, just north of the State Capitol, created in 1996 to celebrate the state's bicentennial.
Modeled after Washington D.C.'s National Mall with Greek, Baroque, and Beaux-Arts influences, it serves as an outdoor museum highlighting Tennessee's history, geography, counties, rivers via fountains, and musical heritage through interpretive walls, a giant granite state map, 95 county discs, and a 95-bell carillon playing "Tennessee Waltz" hourly.
The most visited of Tennessee's state parks with over 2.5 million annual guests, it offers a 2,200-seat amphitheater for events, green lawns with Capitol views, self-guided walking paths near the Farmers' Market and State Museum, and native plants amid its educational walkways.
