Park
Blanco State Park is a 104–105‑acre Texas state park located on the south side of the small town of Blanco in Blanco County, about an hour’s drive from both Austin and San Antonio in the Hill Country.
The park stretches along about a mile of the spring‑fed Blanco River, with shaded riparian forests of cedar and pecan trees that provide a cool, wooded setting along the water. Visitors use the park for swimming, tubing, fishing, camping, picnicking, and short nature walks, with several CCC‑built stone structures such as pavilions, picnic units, and a one‑lane bridge adding historic character.
The area is also good for wildlife viewing, with animals such as raccoons, armadillos, and various waterfowl commonly seen along the riverbanks.
