Park
Bradley State Scenic Viewpoint is a small, historic 18-acre state park in Clatsop County, Oregon, USA, located along U.S. Highway 30 about 22 miles east of Astoria near Clatsop Crest, offering stunning panoramic views of the Columbia River, Puget Island, and the Washington shore from within a dense Douglas fir forest.
Donated by the Bradley family heirs to Clatsop County in 1921 and transferred to the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department in 1922, it serves as one of the few rest stops on Highway 30 with restrooms, picnic areas, a distinctive stone monument resembling a large chair, and easy access for short walks amid the trees.
Originally developed as Bradley Wayside with a caretaker's cottage and water system, it's now a quiet day-use site popular for its serene woodland setting, river overlooks, and historical significance along the old Lower Columbia River Highway route, open year-round at no charge.
