Bridle Trails State Park, Washington, United States

Park

Bridle Trails State Park is a 489-acre forested day-use area in King County, Washington, located between Bellevue and Kirkland near Redmond, offering an urban escape with 28 miles of well-maintained, unpaved trails for hiking, horseback riding, walking, jogging, and nature observation.

Established in 1932 amid a lowland conifer forest of Douglas firs, western hemlocks, ferns, and diverse wildlife including birds and small mammals, it features three marked loop trails ranging from 1 to 3.5 miles, a 2.13-mile Bridle Crest Trail connecting to Marymoor Park, four outdoor equestrian arenas for shows, picnic areas, restrooms, and a large parking lot requiring a Discover Pass. Dogs must be leashed to avoid startling horses, making it family- and kid-friendly with minimal elevation gain.
