Donated in the late 1920s by early settlers Solomon and Hattie Chandler, this rare wooded oasis amid high desert features large ponderosa pines, picnic tables, drinking water, flush toilets, and access to Crooked Creek for rainbow trout fishing and crayfish spotting. It offers a shady rest stop for travelers with wildlife viewing opportunities, drawing around 41,700 visitors annually at no fee.
