Chief Logan State Park in West Virginia, USA, spans nearly 4,000 acres in Logan County, about four miles north of Logan town amid rolling mountains and Little Buffalo Creek watershed.
Named for Mingo leader Chief Logan of the Revolutionary War era, this popular park opened for recreation in 1960 and as a state park in 1968, offering a 75-room lodge with conference center and indoor pool, restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, 25 seasonal campsites (14 with electric), 18 miles of hiking trails suitable for horseback riding, miniature golf, seven picnic pavilions, and a wildlife exhibit showcasing native black bears, bobcats, owls, hawks, wild boar, and reptiles.
Additional attractions include a static C&O steam locomotive display, Museum in the Park, Liz Spurlock Amphitheater for seasonal events, annual Christmas light show, and proximity to Hatfield-McCoy off-road trails.
