Along the Northwest Discovery Water Trail traveled by Lewis and Clark, it's adjacent to the McNary National Wildlife Refuge for birdwatching shorebirds and waterfowl, drawing boaters, anglers, water sports fans, hikers, and families from April to October, with day-use from dawn to dusk.
