Park

Dyer State Wayside is a tiny 0.6-acre rest stop along Oregon Route 19 in Gilliam County, Oregon, USA, about 10 miles south of Condon at 2,438 feet elevation in a narrow canyon along a branch of Thirty Mile Creek.

Donated to the state in 1931 by local landowner J.W. Dyer, it provides basic traveler amenities including picnic tables, public vault toilets, improved parking, pathways, fences, and irrigated fruit trees planted by volunteers. Renovated since 1997 by the nonprofit Dyer Partners through tree trimming, table repairs, and collaborations with county crews and the Bureau of Land Management, it offers a scenic pause amid high desert landscapes for picnickers and drivers with no overnight facilities or trails.
