Joseph H. Stewart State Recreation Area (often referred to as Joseph Stewart) is a scenic state park in Jackson County, southern Oregon, USA, situated on the Rogue River near Lost Creek Reservoir, about 40 miles from Crater Lake National Park.
It offers stunning campsites overlooking the water amid large conifer trees, mountains, and wildlife, with around 200 sites including electrical hookups, tent areas, group camping, hot showers, an RV dump station, playground, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, and a fenced pet area.
Visitors enjoy an 11-mile trail system for hiking and biking through forests with streams, swimming in cool mountain waters, boating or fishing for trout and bass at the marina, and easy access to Rogue River adventures like the Avenue of the Boulders.
