Named for explorer Joseph Whidbey of Vancouver's 1792 expedition, the former Navy land established in 1986 features forested trails, wetlands, fields, and a section of the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail for hiking, picnicking at shelters, beachcombing, crabbing, birdwatching, and sunset viewing.
Accessible via Swantown Road off Highway 20, it provides picnic tables, restrooms, and easy access to diverse ecosystems once used as farmland and a rifle range.
