Park
Knight Point State Park is a 54-acre day-use park on North Hero Island along Lake Champlain in North Hero, Vermont, opened in 1978 off US Route 2.
It features a sandy swimming beach, boat rentals, expansive lawns and meadows with mature oaks, maples, hickories, and cedars, plus picnic areas with grills and a short, easy trail looping the point for scenic lake views, birdwatching, and rare plants along the undisturbed cobbled shoreline—a State Natural Area.
Open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in summer with no camping, it houses the Island Center for Arts and Recreation and offers family-friendly tranquility near the historic ferry site.
