Split into northern and southern units amid wooded valleys of Mill and Jordan Creeks, it offers prime fishing for walleye, muskie, channel catfish, and rare spotted bass from seven boat ramps, 12 jetties, accessible docks, rentals, and a 24-hour area, plus a sandy beach with concessions.
Visitors enjoy 7 miles of multi-use trails through oak-hickory forests and restored prairies for hiking, biking, birdwatching ospreys and songbirds, year-round modern and primitive camping, picnicking shelters, a lodge, swimming, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling.
