Park
Lewis and Clark Lake State Recreation Area is an 864‑acre Nebraska park on the southern shore of Lewis and Clark Lake, the state’s second‑largest reservoir, about 12 miles northwest of Crofton in the northeast corner of the state.
The lake straddles the Nebraska–South Dakota border, was formed by Gavins Point Dam on the Missouri River, and offers miles of shoreline for boating, water skiing, fishing for species like walleye, bass, crappie, and catfish, and swimming at designated park beaches.
The recreation area includes several developed areas such as the Weigand‑Burbach campground with over 150 improved electric sites and modern cabins, plus more than 100 primitive sites, showers, restrooms, picnic tables, fire rings, a marina, boat ramps, fish‑cleaning stations, a playground, and about 4.5 miles of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, all open seasonally and managed by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
