McGee Creek State Park spans 2,600 acres on the south side of McGee Creek Reservoir in Atoka County, southeastern Oklahoma, USA, at the southwestern edge of the Ouachita Mountains.
Created around the 3,800-acre lake for flood control since 1985, it offers camping with 200 sites including RV hookups, cabins, boat ramps for water skiing and boating, fishing for crappie, sunfish, largemouth bass, and channel catfish, plus hiking and swimming along 64 miles of shoreline.
Adjacent to a 10,000-acre wildlife management area and 8,900-acre natural scenic recreation area with over 25 miles of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding through oak-pine forests teeming with deer, turkey, quail, and waterfowl, it provides a remote wilderness escape for hunting, birding, and nature exploration.
