Park
Van Sickle Bi‑State Park is a roughly 725‑acre recreation area that straddles the Nevada–California border just south of Lake Tahoe, near the Stateline casinos and the town of South Lake Tahoe.
The park sits on private‑donated land that was developed into the only bi‑state park in the United States, managed jointly by Nevada State Parks and the California Tahoe Conservancy, with most of the area in Nevada and a smaller portion on the California side.
Visitors walk or bike a short distance from the urban core to find forested trails, rock outcrops with sweeping views of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding peaks, links to the Tahoe Rim Trail, and historic structures such as an 1870s Van Sickle farm barn that highlight the region’s pioneer heritage.
