Park
Bear Lake State Park is a Utah state park located along the western shore of Bear Lake on the Utah–Idaho border, about an hour north of Logan and roughly 145 miles northeast of Salt Lake City.
The park sits in a high‑mountain valley at nearly 5,920 feet and gives access to Bear Lake’s striking turquoise waters, which are about 20 miles long, 8 miles wide, and up to 208 feet deep. Visitors use the park for boating, water skiing, jet skiing, swimming, paddle sports, scuba diving, and year‑round fishing for species such as cutthroat trout, mackinaw trout, whitefish, and Bonneville cisco.
The state park operates three main recreation areas—Marina, Rendezvous Beach, and several East Side sites—each offering campsites, day‑use areas, picnic spots, and boat ramps, plus a marina and regular events like the Bear Lake Raspberry Days and a Mountain Man Rendezvous that make it a popular warm‑season destination.
