Nestled along the shores of 800-acre Birch Lake amid lily-pad covered waters, forested wetlands, and views of the Alaska Range's snow-capped peaks, it offers 19 campsites including 17 long drive-in spots for RVs of any size without hookups, five walk-in tent sites, picnic areas, a public beach, playground, fishing pier, boat launch, vault toilets, drinking water, and rentable cabins plus winter ice fishing huts.
Year-round activities include summer boating, swimming, and fishing for stocked rainbow trout, Arctic grayling, char, and salmon, plus hiking, biking, and birdwatching, with winter ice fishing, snowshoeing, skiing, and snowmobiling in a peaceful setting popular with locals and travelers.
