Dodge #4 State Park covers 139 acres on the north shore of Cass Lake, the largest inland lake in southeast Michigan at 1,280 acres, located in West Bloomfield Township, Oakland County, just 30 miles from Detroit.
Donated in 1922 by the Dodge Brothers Corporation with the stipulation it remain a public park forever, it features a sandy swim beach, one mile of shoreline, boat launch, fishing docks, picnic areas with shelters, volleyball courts, playground, and wooded paths ideal for short hikes amid oaks and maples.
Managed by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, it draws boaters, paddlers, anglers targeting bass and pike, swimmers, and families, though it reaches capacity quickly in summer with hours from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day.
