Park
Kakaʻako Waterfront Park is a 35-acre urban green space in Honolulu on Oʻahu's south shore in Hawaii, USA, transformed from a former municipal landfill opened in 1992 into rolling grassy hills with stunning ocean views toward Diamond Head and the harbor.
Also known as Point Panic Park, it lacks a sandy beach but offers concrete stairs for ocean access at famous bodysurfing and diving spots like Point Panic and Flies, plus paved jogging paths, picnic tables, restrooms, an amphitheater, and memorials including the Ehime Maru tribute.
Popular for picnics, shoreline fishing, kite flying on the hills, and Friday night fireworks views, it's open daily from around 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. with free parking and no entrance fee.
