Peter Skene Ogden State Scenic Viewpoint is a roadside state park straddling Deschutes and Jefferson counties in central Oregon, USA, about 9 miles north of Redmond along U.S. Route 97 overlooking the Crooked River Canyon.
Named for 19th-century explorer Peter Skene Ogden, it offers dramatic 300-foot-deep basalt cliffs, a walkway along the canyon rim with views of the Crooked River, a small waterfall, the historic Crooked River High Bridge, and on clear days, distant Mount Hood and Mount Jefferson.
Facilities include restrooms, picnic tables, grassy areas, and limited parking for trucks and trailers, making it a popular quick stop for travelers to photograph the stunning gorge and historic bridges.
