Wasatch Mountain State Park is a large Utah state park located near the town of Midway in the Wasatch Back, about 50 miles east and south of Salt Lake City at an elevation of roughly 5,900 feet.
The park covers more than 21,000 acres of mountains, meadows, and forests in the Wasatch Range and is known as Utah’s most developed state park, with abundant year‑round recreation. Visitors enjoy hiking and horseback riding on more than 70 miles of trails, camping at the Pine Creek Campground, and golf at several popular 18‑hole courses, including the historic Wasatch Mountain and Soldier Hollow layouts.
The park is also popular for wildlife viewing of deer, elk, moose, and wild turkeys, plus seasonal activities such as mountain biking, snowmobiling, and stargazing close to Park City and the Wasatch Front.
