Park

Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park, covering 150 acres near Flagler Beach in Florida, USA, preserves the haunting coquina stone ruins of East Florida's largest antebellum sugar plantation, established in 1821 by Major Charles Bulow on nearly 5,000 acres along Bulow Creek.

Operated with enslaved labor growing sugarcane, cotton, rice, and indigo, it thrived under John Bulow until the Second Seminole War in 1836, when U.S. troops fled and Seminole warriors burned the estate, including its massive sugar mill, spring house, wells, and slave cabins.

Acquired by Florida in 1945 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the site features a scenic walking trail to the mill ruins, an interpretive center, picnic areas, canoeing on Bulow Creek, and fishing, open Monday and Thursday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
