Park
Lake Greenwood State Park covers 914 acres on peninsulas jutting into the 11,400-acre Lake Greenwood reservoir in Ninety Six, South Carolina, renowned for boating, bass and crappie fishing, and Civilian Conservation Corps architecture from the Great Depression era.
Donated by Greenwood County in 1938 and developed by the CCC—one of 16 such parks in the state—it preserves original picnic shelters, a boathouse, water fountain, and lakeside terrace, plus the Drummond Center housing South Carolina's only CCC museum with tools, photos, and uniforms.
Activities include RV/tent camping, primitive group sites, a short nature trail, playground, boat ramps, swimming, picnicking, and events like the SC Festival of Flowers Triathlon.
