Park

Natural Bridge Battlefield Historic State Park in Leon County, Florida, USA, between Tallahassee and St. Marks, marks the site of Florida's second-largest Civil War battle on March 6, 1865, where Confederate volunteers including old men, young boys from West Florida Seminary, and soldiers repelled Union forces attempting to capture the capital after landing at Apalachee Bay.

Named for the St. Marks River's natural limestone bridge where it sinks underground for a quarter-mile before resurfacing, the park preserves visible Confederate earthworks, a monument honoring defenders who kept Tallahassee—the only Confederate capital east of the Mississippi uncaptured—a picnic area amid woodlands, fishing spots, and a trail.

Open daily from 8 a.m. to sundown with a small vehicle fee, it hosts an annual reenactment the first full weekend in March featuring up to 250 participants reliving the 10-hour fight.
