Hawk Springs State Recreation Area is a small 59-acre public recreation spot on the western shore of Hawk Springs Reservoir in Goshen County, Wyoming, located about 10 miles southeast of Hawk Springs and 10 miles north of La Grange.
Managed by Wyoming State Parks since 1987, it offers 24 primitive walk-up campsites with picnic tables and fire rings, a boat launch ramp and dock for fishing walleye, largemouth bass, and crappie, plus restrooms, a playground, and seasonal potable water.
Popular for boating, kayaking, birdwatching amid diverse species, and family picnics on flat terrain near the Nebraska border, it provides a quiet high-plains escape at 4,478 feet elevation.
