Keyhole State Park lies on the western edge of Wyoming's Black Hills between Sundance and Moorcroft, easily accessed off I-90 at exit 165, encompassing the southeast shore of 14,720-acre Keyhole Reservoir formed by a 1952 Bureau of Reclamation dam.
Named for the historic Keyhole livestock brand used by rancher brothers on the site, it offers premier walleye, catfish, smallmouth bass, and northern pike fishing, plus boating with five ramps, swimming beaches, water skiing, ice fishing, hiking, mountain biking, birdwatching for resident and migrating species, and 10 reservation-only campgrounds with over 300 RV and tent sites.
At 4,100 feet elevation with mild seasons and Devils Tower views, it's a year-round haven managed by Wyoming State Parks for water sports and outdoor play.
